Why We Built This Site
Kansas gives the public broad access to many court and county records, while state law also protects sealed, juvenile, expunged, and confidential records. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. The Clerk of the District Court handles Sherman County District Court filings, including criminal, civil, domestic, probate, juvenile, small-claims, and traffic matters filed in that court. The County Clerk handles county administrative records and serves as the Freedom of Information Officer. The Sheriff manages the Bastille jail roster and sheriff report requests. Goodland Municipal Court handles city ordinance and city traffic matters.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
